Book Review – The Potato Reset by Jeannine Elder

I’ve been asked many times to start doing reviews of books, kitchenware, documentaries, studies and other things that people might find interesting and useful. This week seems like a good time to finally start doing that, with the release of a great new ebook from my friend Jeannine Elder.

I’m super proud of Jeannine and the path she’s taken to completely turn her life around – her experiences seem to run parallel with my own. She’s been super supportive of my own mission and she’s even had a go at a Spud Fit Academy of her own – obviously with great success!

The Potato Reset is beautifully laid out and presented; the advantages of being a graphic designer are evident throughout and the photography makes the food come to life. More important than the superficial beauty though is that this book tackles some very important issues. Jeannine talks about her life leading up to her Potato Reset, her battles with mental health issues and her reasoning behind taking this unusual step. She covers both the nutrition and psychology behind dealing with food addiction and of course gives plenty of recipes, plans and tips to help you on the way.

The recipes are not all Spud Fit Academy compliant (they’re not potatoes only) but they are 100% whole food plant based which I think makes this a great book to follow on with when your Spud Fit Academy is over and you want to start adding in some other foods with your potatoes. I’ve always said that the most important thing about the Spud Fit Academy is what you eat when it’s over. Well with this book you can’t go wrong! The best thing about The Potato Reset is that Jeannine Elder has saved me a lot of work because now I don’t have to write this book! HA!

Spud up!

P.S. I just realised that at the time I’m publishing this, The Potato Reset will be 50% off for the next 16 hours!
