FUNruary is coming!

Andrew Taylor - Spud Fit | January 28, 2018

CANuary has been a major success in the Spud Fit Academy! Relationships with food have been changed, health improved, energy gained and kilograms have been lost!

??Most important of all is that Spuddies have broken free from the chains of food addiction and started learning to enjoy life again! It is with this in mind that I’ve decided to name the next month… wait for it… FUNruary! I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, just because I’ve stopped eating cheesy doesn’t mean I can’t enjoy a cheesy name!

I’ve often been quoted saying “make your food boring and your life interesting.” To me that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t enjoy your food at all or do anything that might make it taste nicer, it’s just an acknowledgement that it’s ok to eat food that’s not as exciting as we are used to. It’s about being aware that getting too much excitement, emotional support, comfort and enjoyment from food is what got us into this mess in the first place. It’s about recognising that our relationship with food has been an unhealthy one and that we can enjoy our lives without relying on food. We still need pleasure in our lives, we still need that dopamine hit but it doesn’t have to come from food. We can get all the pleasure and emotional support we need from other areas of life. There’s nothing wrong with enjoying your food, as long is it’s the right food (in our case potatoes) but let’s focus on enjoying this great big experience we call LIFE and not just our food. You don’t need to eat something interesting, you need to DO something interesting!

?

If hunger is not the problem, food is not the answer.

What cool stuff could you be doing with your life if you were free from the burden of food addiction? It’s time to find out! Click below to get involved in The Spud Fit Academy this FUNruary!

Spud up!
